ICAN-USA District Society desires to make both the FATS and PASS program a permanent faculty that will serve our members for many years to come.
However, as a start, the two programs will be implemented on a pilot basis to fully evaluate the success and value-added impact the programs will have on our membership.
The programs may be discontinued after two years of implementation if the board of directors has determined that the program objectives have either not been met or outlined subject objectives are not easily realizable on a cost-effective basis.
If the pilot runs of either or both the FATS and PASS programs prove successful, the BOD of ICAN-USA may decide to make the programs permanent upon the approval of the members at an AGM.
Upon successful implementation of the FATS and PASS programs at the ICAN-USA district level, it will be desirable to explore the opportunity to implement the same or similar programs through ICAN HQ on a national scale in Nigeria.
No doubt, implementing the FATS and PASS programs on a national scale in Nigeria, will give ICAN desirable professional prominence as a proactive professional institute.
While the FATS and PASS programs are not intended to provide mandatory employment to the student and professional participants, it is the hope and desire of the ICAN-USA district that the interactions between the student and professional interns lead to a job opportunity for the participants, and at the same time, a measurable added value to participating firms.
Also, the district society (ICAN-USA) hopes that the new initiatives will encourage members’ participation, and most importantly add measurable professional experience and values to our members.
